Returning Shooter Registration – 2025/2026

Welcome back to the Southlake Carroll Target Team! This page will walk you through the process of registering a returning member of SCTT. Each step is required–please complete them all in order. We strongly encourage you to complete the process in one sitting. This should take less than 30 minutes, excluding the YESS training video.

You might notice there’s no step to register with SCTP. SCTP registrations carry over from prior years, so there’s no need for annual forms. (Adult background checks do expire; if this affects you, we’ll notify you.)

If you have any questions during the process, please contact membership@slctargetteam.com.

1. Print out the Registration Checklist

This checklist will help you keep track of the steps in the process.

2. Complete SCTT Registration Form (and Pay Fees)

This form collects the basic information SCTT needs for the athlete and adult(s) being registered with the team. It also includes uniform sizing information and various agreements and waivers. At the end, you’ll pay the SCTT registration fee.

JERSEYS: By popular demand, the team is switching back to the same jersey used in the 2023/2024 season–gray and black dragon scales (see below). All returning shooters will get a new jersey by default. The new jerseys will have the same sizing as the 2023/2024 batch, so third+ year shooters can estimate which size to order based on their 2023/2024 jersey. Second year shooters/parents, note that this jersey is a much more athletic, true-to-size cut than the oversized 2024/2025 jerseys.

VESTS: This year, the team is switching to vests from Shoot the Moon (supplier to Team USA). Returning shooters have the option to continue using their old Castellani vest or to purchase a new STM vest. STM uses different sizing than Castellani; if you’re ordering a new vest, see this sheet for instructions on measuring for your athlete’s vest.

3. Register Parent(s) as CISD Volunteer(s)

Each adult being registered with SCTT must register annually as a volunteer with Carroll Independent School District. If you haven’t registered yet this school year, please do so now.

  • Select all the CISD campuses where you have students; if you don’t have students in CISD, select the High School and Senior High School.
  • Select “Student Activities/Clubs” and “Other” activities.
  • Other selections don’t matter for SCTT.
4. Complete YESS Athlete Registration (And Pay Fees)

Complete the athlete registration form for USA Youth Education in Shooting Sports (USAYESS), which is one of the two leagues in which SCTT competes. Note that the registration process for YESS has changed from last year–youth and adult registration are handled separately.

  • When entering the athlete’s email address, use a non-CISD account that can receive external emails.
  • Pay the $50 registration fee (this is not included in the SCTT fee).
5. Complete YESS Adult Registration (and Pay Fees)

Complete the adult registration form for USAYESS.

  • Sign in (bottom of page) with the SportsEngine account you created in a previous year.
  • Role: Volunteer or Assistant Coach (as appropriate)
  • MidwayUSA Endowment? YES – Endowment ID # is R5677
  • Complete Background Screening Information and Review
  • Pay the $50 registration fee (this is not included in the SCTT fee).
  • TO DO LATER: You’ll receive an email from YESS with a link to complete Athlete Protection Sexual Abuse Awareness Training
    • Watch the 90-minute video at any time
    • Take the quiz
    • No need to send us your certificate. YESS will send you reminders if needed.
6. Submit SCTP Medical and Sportsmanship Forms

Print out, complete, and sign the SCTP medical and sportsmanship forms–both of these are in a single PDF. Then scan or photograph them and email them to membership@slctargetteam.com. (Note that these go to the team, not to the league.)

Congratulations–you’re done!

We look forward to seeing you on the range for another great season!
